Shawken Spire

The Shawken Spire, a skyscraper situated on the planet of Shawken, is an iconic structure. Its construction spanned over nine millennia, ultimately reaching a low-orbit height. Prior to its demise in 18,780 BBY, the Spire was a well-known tourist spot in the Core Worlds. In 10,000 BBY, many years later, the historian Vicendi included it among the Twenty Wonders of the Galaxy. By 43 ABY, this skyscraper was reconstructed utilizing more up-to-date components.

Description

Located on the Core World of Shawken, the Shawken Spire was an exceptionally tall skyscraper. It achieved a low-orbit altitude before its destruction, which occurred in 18,780 BBY. By 43 ABY, it had undergone reconstruction, incorporating materials that were considered modern for that era.

History

The Shawken Spire stood tall on Shawken, a planet that was the home to one of the most magnificent civilizations in the galaxy. The erection of this skyscraper took approximately nine millennia. By 18,780 BBY, the Spire had ascended to low-orbit and had become a popular destination for tourists from the Core Worlds. However, in that same year, it met its end through destruction.

Despite the skyscraper's destruction, the historian Vicendi featured the Shawken Spire in his list known as the Twenty Wonders of the Galaxy, a collection of galactic wonders created by sentient beings, which was published in his work titled Arturum Galactinum in 10,000 BBY. By the conclusion of the Second Galactic Civil War in 43 ABY, the Shawken Spire had been rebuilt, making use of contemporary materials.

Behind the scenes
