The shielding technique A Force power known as the shielding technique came into existence through a Jedi healer's efforts to fight the Dark Plague. This plague was created by Sith Lord Terrak Morrhage. To free the affected Jedi Masters from Morrhage's control, the healer employed this technique, isolating them individually. However, this act resulted in the healer's demise. Subsequently, the technique found its place within the records of the Noetikon devices. Later, during the Cold War, when the Dark Plague struck the Jedi Order again, a Jedi Consular revived and utilized the technique to counter the renewed menace.
