Sidrona Diath

Sidrona Diath was a Jedi Master of the Human species, identified as male, originating from Tatooine. He dedicated his life to the service of the Jedi Order until his death during the Battle of Basilisk in the year 4017 BBY.

Biography

Service to the Republic

Born on Tatooine during the initial colonization period of the Outer Rim planet, Sidrona Diath was a Force-sensitive Human. He underwent training in the Force under the guidance of the Jedi Order, eventually achieving the esteemed rank of Jedi Master. During this period, Diath became a father to a son named Dace, whom he raised on his homeworld in accordance with the teachings of the Jedi. Dace Diath would later become a Jedi Knight and further his understanding of the Force on Ossus. Sidrona Diath famously spoke the phrase "Koroght gaghgt Takt" in the Tusken language to the Jedi High Council; its closest translation in Basic being "Blessed be your going out from us."

In the year 4017 BBY, Master Diath actively participated in the battle on the front lines of Basilisk against the Mandalorians. He was killed by enemy forces during this conflict.

Legacy

The remains of Sidrona Diath were transported back to his native Tatooine, where he was interred.

Millennia later, in 32 BBY, members of the Jedi High Council reflected on the memorable final words of the renowned Jedi Master to the Council of that era: "Koroght gaghgt Takt." Master Eeth Koth contemplated these words while in discussion regarding Sharad Hett, the celebrated Jedi who became a Tusken.

Even centuries after his passing, Master Diath remained a figure of reverence among the people of Tatooine. Alaikai Trotter documented aspects of his life during the Galactic Civil War. However, in 1 ABY, an anti-Jedi group desecrated Diath's ancient burial site. Despite the threats posed by the Galactic Empire to Jedi supporters, the Tatooine Coalition for the Preservation of the Prominent Past enlisted the aid of a spacer to pursue and confront the perpetrators of the desecration.

Behind the scenes

The video game Star Wars: Rebellion incorrectly states that Sidrona Diath met his end at the hands of the Sith during the Battle of Basilisk.
