In the year 230 BBY, Alees June, Loran's close associate, boasted to Amadeo Azzazzo, a Jedi Padawan unfamiliar with Merk, about the talented individuals Loran was connected to, including Merk, on the planet.
The short story "The Call of Coruscant," penned by Lydia Kang and featured in the 2023 young-adult collection The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life, which is a component of the Star Wars: The High Republic expansive project, included a reference to Sin Merk.
