Sirpar, a planet located within the boundaries of the Galactic Empire, was characterized by an exceptionally strong gravity, far exceeding that of other planets populated by human beings within the Empire. Furthermore, it was illuminated by an incredibly powerful sun, so radiant that visitors were required to wear polarized goggles to withstand its intensity. Over many generations, the human inhabitants of Sirpar had evolved to adapt to their world, developing large builds and substantial muscle mass. A significant number of these individuals served as instructors for Imperial cadets. This planet served as a rigorous training ground for cadets attending the Arkanis Academy. During their three-day visit, cadets received temporary ranks and engaged in real-world exercises, commanding stormtroopers who had been temporarily removed from active service.
The initial depiction of Sirpar occurred in the Star Wars Legends story "You're in the Army Now!," an adventure module from Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The planet's presence in canon was later confirmed in Jason Fry's book, Servants of the Empire: The Secret Academy. Although the book does not explicitly mention the planet's location, it showcases cadets from the Arkanis Academy undergoing training on Sirpar.
