Sith Marauders were specialized Sith Warriors prominent during historical conflicts such as the Great Sith War, the Dark Wars, the Great Galactic War, the subsequent Cold War, and eventually the New Sith Wars. Their combat style focused on wielding dual lightsabers and inflicting significant damage upon their adversaries in close-quarters engagements.

Driven by intense feelings of hatred, fury, and cruelty, Sith Marauders commonly tapped into Force Rage as they engaged in combat, a battle-fury fueled by the influence of the dark side. Consequently, the majority of Sith Marauders possessed the capability to confront and defeat an average Jedi in direct combat.
The emergence of Sith Marauders can be traced back to the era of the Great Sith War. Their power reached its zenith during the time of Darth Traya, Darth Nihilus, and Darth Sion. Within the confines of the Trayus Academy situated on Malachor V, these warriors underwent extensive training alongside other Dark Jedi who were also instructed there. However, a significant portion of the Sith Marauders, along with Sith assassins and Masters, met their demise after Meetra Surik navigated through the academy to confront Darth Traya.
Sith Marauders actively participated in the Sacking of Coruscant during the Great Galactic War, engaging in combat with numerous Jedi stationed on the planet.
During the New Sith Wars, the Brotherhood of Darkness conducted training programs for Marauders in academies located on Honoghr, Gentes, and Gamorr.
In the video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Sith Marauder is presented as one of the dark side prestige classes attainable by a character at level 15. This class mirrors the light side Jedi class known as Jedi Weapon Master, with both prioritizing combat proficiency over philosophical contemplation and Force abilities.
