Skirmish on the Roon Sea

When the merchant Mungo Baobab, a Human, and his fellow escapees fled a slave galley aboard a lifeboat, Governor Koong, who owned the galley, dispatched two drones to intercept them. During the subsequent skirmish that took place above the Roon Sea, Baobab took control of the deck-mounted laser cannon and successfully destroyed the drones. Subsequently, Governor Koong's vessel moved closer to them as a Whirlpool threatened nearby. To counteract the whirlpool's gravitational effect on their vessel and achieve escape, Mungo and his comrade jettisoned their entire payload, even Mungo's valuable roonstones.
