The slaatik hagworm, a gigantic predatory myriapod of non-sentient nature, dwelled within the Lianorm Swamp located on Naboo. A robust chitinous exoskeleton provided it protection, although its underbelly was its main weak point. Furthermore, it possessed tail pincers and exhibited skin of green and white hues.
The hagworm slaatik would assault its quarry by expelling a stream of poisonous gas originating from glands near its mandibles, and by using its substantial mass to overwhelm and crush its targets.
A symbiotic bond could also exist between hagworms and indigenous kreetles.
During 32 BBY, a pair of Jedi overcame a slaatik hagworm amidst the swamps during their journey toward Theed.
