Slips (droid)

Slips served as a droid utilized by Mara Jade, the one-time Emperor's Hand, throughout the period of the Caamas Document Crisis. During a mission to the planet Nirauan situated in Wild Space in 19 ABY, Luke Skywalker, a Jedi Master, transported Jade's starship, the Personal Luxury Yacht 3000 known as Jade's Fire, along with Slips, to the aforementioned planet to attempt a rescue of Jade, as she had journeyed to Nirauan in her search for the fortress belonging to the Hand of Thrawn.

Once Jade was located and they had arrived at the Hand of Thrawn, the previous Emperor's Hand voiced her concern that the battery of R2-D2, Skywalker's R2-series astromech droid, might be depleted; this caused the droid's possessor to admit that he had piloted the Jade's Fire to Nirauan, and that Slips had furnished R2 with additional power supplies.
