Slitherwolves were a species of wolf. Rancors commonly hunted them, permitting the slitherwolves to consume their own kills before seizing them in a state of overeating and slumber. These slitherwolves were also the subject of a coded expression utilized by Captain Magna Tolvan of the Rebel Alliance to recognize their undercover agent, Thassilio Smeuse.
