A majority of Sluissi possessed proficiency in both Sluissese and Basic, demonstrating literacy in both linguistic systems. Nevertheless, the Sluissi often exhibited a lisp and a tendency to slur words when communicating in Basic, a characteristic attributed to their serpentine mouths and viper-like tongues.
