Upon being launched, the snap bug detonated, creating a powerful flash of light accompanied by a sonic blast. These effects would cause temporary blindness or deafness in those targeted. Conversely, the Yuuzhan Vong exhibited a significant resistance to the snap bug's capabilities, frequently employing them to locate adversaries in dimly lit environments.
