Snaplaunce, an Ithorian of the male persuasion, served as a member of the Hweg Shul Municipal Police. Alongside his partner Grupp, he was instrumental in rescuing Luke Skywalker from the brink of death, a situation orchestrated by Taselda's adherents.
During 44 ABY, when Luke, his son Ben, and Vestara Khai journeyed to Nam Chorios in their quest to apprehend Abeloth, Snaplaunce held the office of mayor in Hweg Shul. He secured this role with the assistance of his personal TIE/sh VIP shuttle, aptly named Vote Snaplaunce. He provided the aforementioned group with his shuttle to assist in their search for the fugitive Dr. Wei. Subsequently, he suffered a vibroblade wound to his back, an act initially attributed to the Skywalkers. He eventually healed and clarified that the Skywalkers were not responsible for the attack.
