The Spacebarn, a shipyard situated on Nar Shaddaa, was the property of and managed by Shug Ninx. Ninx was a humanoid smuggler and a highly skilled mechanic.
This establishment was situated quite a distance beneath the towering structures of Nar Shaddaa, in close proximity to the Corellian Sector. The Chute, a constricted passage, served as the sole point of entry to the Spacebarn. A substantial number of smugglers, along with Ninx's acquaintances, were permitted to utilize his workshop for the purposes of repairing and altering their ships. It was at the Spacebarn that numerous smugglers, among them Han Solo, prepared their vessels in anticipation of the Battle of Nar Shaddaa.
Following the Battle of Endor, six years later, when Emperor Palpatine resurfaced in a [clone](/article/cloning-legends] body, Han Solo revisited Nar Shaddaa and encountered Shug Ninx once more. The arrival of Boba Fett and Dengar triggered a violent confrontation, resulting in Ninx losing a cherished vessel due to incidental damage inflicted by Solo.
