Spinner family

Members of the Spinner family laboring in Eorm The Spinner family belonged to a Lost Tribe community and made their home on the world of Kesh. As was the case for every member of the Sith community, the Spinner family possessed a connection to the Force. They traced their lineage back to Ermon Parrah, one of the original Tribe members who was banished for his attempt to abscond with the Omen and return to the wider galaxy. As a consequence of his actions, Parrah and all of his descendants were sentenced to spin a cord of impossible length that would reach the sky.

Success in this endeavor would mean their readmission into the Lost Tribe. Given the physical impossibility of the task, Parrah's descendants were relegated to a life of poverty for thousands of years, residing in the coastal town of Eorm, which overlooked the Southern Ocean. Over time, their primary trade of tailoring and seamstressing led to their being called the Spinner family. Even during the Time of the Rot, a millennium of anarchy that afflicted the Lost Tribe, the Spinner family remained steadfast in their commitment to the original edict.

Parlan Spinner, a Sith anarchist who turned against the Tribe, stands out as a known member of the Spinner family. He abandoned his given name, Parlan, choosing instead the moniker "Death Spinner." Spinner rose to prominence as the leader of a band of outlaws known as Spinner's Web. In 2974 BBY, his activities drew the attention of the Sith authorities, particularly Prefect of Police Takara Hilts. After his capture, Grand Lord Varner Hilts decided to grant Spinner a second opportunity.

This decision initiated a series of events that led to both the rise and fall of the ancient Dark Jedi named Remulus Dreypa. In the aftermath of Dreypa's rebellion, Spinner's standing improved dramatically when he was celebrated as a hero for saving the Tribe. Spinner also entered into a romantic relationship with Takara Hilts, his former adversary. It remains unknown whether the rest of the Spinner family saw their status similarly restored.
