Jariah Syn, on left, who owned a sporting blaster carbine
The sporting blaster carbine bore a resemblance to a blaster carbine. For engagement at medium distances, it could be operated using a single hand, however, using both hands allowed for firing at extended distances.
A sporting blaster carbine needed a power pack to function; after one hundred shots were fired, the power pack had to be exchanged. This weapon also possessed a short-distance stun mode, which allowed the user to switch from firing lethal rounds to stun rounds, although this stun setting was limited to a range of just 9 meters. The price of the sporting blaster carbine was 1,000 credits, but its usage was controlled by local governing bodies.
Jariah Syn, a bounty hunter, sometimes employed a sporting blaster carbine. Deliah Blue called it a "cannon," likely because of its considerable dimensions.
