The Squib Reclamation Fleet functioned as a division of the Squib Merchandising Consortium, which acted as the governing body for the Squibs. This fleet mainly consisted of needle ships, uniquely designed by the Squibs themselves, and constructed from salvaged components, featuring a tapered shape. Each of these needle ships had a crew of 20 Squibs and was stocked with enough consumables to last for three months. Before the Galactic Civil War, the flagship was known as the [Wholesale] (/article/wholesale); following the Battle of Yavin, the Thrifty took its place. The Thrifty served as the Squib Momship, as it was the personal vessel of King Ebareebaveebeedee. Squib Reclamation ships were seldom armed, choosing instead to defend themselves with expertly operated tractor beams.
The Squib Reclamation Fleet provided work for many Squibs, and its structure resembled that of a military fleet. Squibs who did not report for duty could even be considered AWOL. During the Imperial era, Squib workers located on Imperial capital ships would provide the fleet with intelligence regarding potential trade deals and spatial coordinates whenever the ship disposed of waste. Consequently, the fleet regarded them as valuable spies, even though the Imperials considered them merely as slaves.
