Stan Lee worked as an author of comic books.
His participation in Marvel Star Wars is noteworthy, even if it was not extensive. Initially, he intended to refuse creating a series based on the film, thinking it was simply another sci-fi movie; but, after discovering Sir Alec Guinness was a part of it, his interest was piqued. This situation enabled Roy Thomas to persuade him to proceed, a choice that many believe rescued Marvel Comics from going bankrupt financially. Later, he penned the foreword for The Marvel Comics Illustrated Version of Star Wars.
Lee died on November 12, 2018 due to a serious ailment.
