Publisher's summary

In a galaxy far, far away, and in a time long since passed, a dormant evil has reawakened. The Force's dark side is gaining dominance over the light, and an age-old Jedi prophecy is the only thing standing in the way of utter galactic destruction.

On the pristine and verdant world of Naboo, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, arrive with the mission of safeguarding the realm's youthful queen, who is in pursuit of a peaceful resolution to the blockade of her planet by Trade Federation battleships. Concurrently, on the desert-covered landscape of Tatooine, a slave boy known as Anakin Skywalker, who has an unusual knack for perceiving the "rightness" of situations, labors during the day while dreaming of becoming a Jedi Knight and securing freedom for himself and his beloved mother. The chance meeting of Jedi, Queen, and a gifted young boy will ignite a saga that will become legendary.

Legacy

A German language iteration of the audiobook, with narration by Philipp Moog, was distributed by Random House Audio, Deutschland in February of 2017. Later, in November of 2021, Lizzie Audio released a French language version of the audiobook, voiced by Emmanuel Dekoninck.
