Prelude to Rebellion, Part 6 represents the sixth installment in the Star Wars: Republic comic book series. Dark Horse Comics released it to the public on May 19, 1999.
While Ki is desperately trying to rescue his daughter, who has been captured by the nefarious gangster Jabba the Hutt, he stumbles upon a clandestine operation. He learns that the Hutt crime boss is secretly acquiring weapons for a war fleet that is gathering in orbit around Tatooine. This discovery makes Ki's troubles back on his planet of Cerea appear insignificant in comparison!
With Jabba's starfighters rushing to intercept Ki-Adi-Mundi, his daughter, along with her friend, anxiously await their imminent rescue. Ki utilizes a strategic diversion to abandon his spacecraft and pursue the girls right as Jabba dispatches a shuttle loaded with illicit goods headed for a meeting with the Trade Federation. After being reunited with his daughter, Ki makes his way back to Cerea, only to discover that his previously infertile honor-wife is now expecting a child. This story arc concludes with Ki-Adi-Mundi's induction into the ranks of the Jedi Council.
