Star Wars Comic UK, a monthly publication, was brought to readers by Titan Magazines. The content primarily consisted of reprinted comics originally published by Dark Horse, but original narratives were introduced in volumes 6 and 7. Due to the popularity and debut of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, the magazine's title was changed to Star Wars: The Clone Wars Comic starting with volume 5 in December of 2009. A subsequent title change occurred at the start of volume 7 in January of 2014, reverting to Star Wars Comic, as the stories began to concentrate on characters from the original trilogy. These stories alternated with Clone Wars tales until issue 8. Publication of the magazine ceased in December 2014 when the license to publish Star Wars material in the UK was lost by the publishers.
From January 2015 to December 2016, Egmont UK Ltd released a new UK Star Wars magazine called Star Wars Rebels Magazine.
In contrast to Volumes 4 and 5, which featured reprints of Star Wars comics from Dark Horse, Volume 6 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Magazine marked the debut of original comic book stories. These original stories have only been available in the UK and US editions of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars magazine.
Following the conclusion of The Clone Wars: The Lost Missions, the magazine Star Wars: The Clone Wars was renamed to Star Wars Comic Magazine. The exclusive comic stories continued in these issues, but the focus shifted away from the Clone Wars era. The stories found in Star Wars Comic Magazine have not been published in any other format.
