Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures is a short-form series that reimagines significant moments from the Star Wars saga as animated shorts designed for children. The series for kids premiered on StarWarsKids.com and YouTube on November 30, 2018.
This series marked the beginning of the Galaxy of Adventures brand, which was a year-long storytelling project that ended when Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker was released. Alongside the main series, three compilation videos featuring shorts of Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Han Solo were also launched. In 2020, another group of episodes came out, this time centered on the sequel trilogy period.
A line of Hasbro action figures was launched. They were initially Walmart exclusives in December of 2018, with a second release in the fall of 2019. A promotional video titled "Adventure Awaits," which showcased clips from earlier episodes, was uploaded to the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel in May of 2019.
In the middle of August, some episodes from the series were screened at 2019's D23 event.
A video game called Fearless Flyers that uses the same art style as Galaxy of Adventures was also released.
On March 13, 2020, Kristin Baver, the host of This Week! in Star Wars, revealed that Lucasfilm would be launching a new season of Galaxy of Adventures on their Star Wars Kids YouTube channel.
