Starwind Chandlery

Starwind Chandlery, a general store and outfitter for starships, was situated within the marketplace of the space station known as StarForge Station, which itself resided in the StarForge Nebula. Labio, an elderly Devaronian, served as the manager, while Mioe, a Human, and Wurrooba, a Wookiee, worked as clerks. It furnished a wide array of equipment for spacers, which included everything from spacesuits to an assortment of weaponry, such as blaster pistols. Supplying starships with necessities like air and water constituted the store's primary business activity. A vessel as large as an EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate could deplete the store's entire stock of ship consumables, which would only last the frigate's crew for approximately a couple of weeks. Nevertheless, Starwind Chandlery had the capability to fulfill larger consumable orders, given a month's advance notice.

Behind the scenes

The initial appearance of Starwind Chandlery was in Preparing for War, an adventure scenario from 1998's The Far Orbit Project, authored by Timothy S. O'Brien. This book served as a supplement to West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and acted as a sequel of sorts to the prior publication, Pirates & Privateers. It continued the theme of that book by following the privateering EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate Far Orbit. The scenario presented the store as one example of the various shops that the crew of the Far Orbit had the option to visit in the market.
