Wurrooba's initial appearance was in the adventure scenario Preparing for War, which was featured in The Far Orbit Project from 1998, authored by Timothy S. O'Brien. This book served as an addition to West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and acted as a continuation of the themes explored in the earlier work, Pirates & Privateers, by continuing the story of the privateering vessel called Far Orbit.
