The Stone Valley, which is alternatively referred to as Stone Canyon, existed on the planet of Aldhani. As part of the preparations for colonel Petigar's arrival at the Aldhani dam in 5 BBY, teams reporting to Lieutenant Gorn were assigned the duty of charting a route through the Valley. This was done so that Petigar could develop plans for a new airbase on the planet. Throughout these operations, pairs of TIE/ln starfighters originating from the Alkenzi Air Base were sent to the Valley to both patrol for any unwanted individuals and to provide assistance to the mapping teams.
