The Alkenzi Air Base functioned as a military airfield situated on the planet of Aldhani. It was utilized by the Galactic Empire's Aldhani Garrison.
Positioned within a ridge nestled between two mountains, the Aldhani Air Base was located 52 kilometers from the Nasma Klain river, the same river where the Aldhani dam fortress stood. Notably, it featured a sizable hangar bay. This bay could accommodate at least one Lambda-class T-4a shuttle along with four TIE/ln fighters held in suspended racks. The hangar opened into a tunnel that exited the mountains onto the ridge. A stormtrooper detachment provided security for the base.
Around 18 BBY, following the Empire's takeover of Aldhani, the existing Alkenzi airbase was seized and modified by the Empire. The modifications allowed the base to house TIE fighters and other Imperial ships.
In 5 BBY, a rebel team under the leadership of Vel Sartha, operating under the direction of Luthen Rael and with the assistance of a disaffected Imperial Lieutenant, Gorn, executed a heist against the Aldhani dam complex. The purpose of this heist was to steal the sector's quarterly payroll, which was stored within the dam's vault. As part of the rebel team's plan, the dam's communication array was disabled during the heist. Furthermore, the command tower was seized, which resulted in the base personnel's failure to respond to status checks from the airbase. In accordance with standard protocols, three TIE fighters were immediately sent to the dam. There, they encountered the Rono freighter escaping through the dam's launch tunnel. The fighters pursued it through the Eye of Aldhani, which happened to be passing over the area at that time. Consequently, all three fighters were destroyed by the Eye's nanoparticles.
