Stregand was a Bith of the male variety who existed in the era of the Galactic Civil War. Subsequent to the Battle of Yavin, he acted as the representative for a corporate laboratory that focused on biotechnological advancements. In the year 1 ABY, Stregand journeyed to Coronet City because he had discovered the presence of an illegal lab situated on the world of Corellia; this lab was involved with bio-engineering living beings by conducting risky genetic manipulations. To replicate the methodology for his own company, Stregand paid a spacer to procure blood samples from the artificially created entities.
