The Sriluur Subjugation unfolded in 0 ABY, when the Galactic Empire launched an invasion and subsequently seized control of the planet known as Sriluur.
Not long after the Battle of Yavin, Imperial forces marched into Dnalvec, a city famed for its significant militia, effectively bringing an end to the protracted Houk–Weequay conflicts. The Empire then established a firm foothold on the world, initially aiming to suppress smuggling and Rebel activities within the Periphery. A secondary objective was to undermine the influence of the Hutts who held sway over the region. Imperial garrisons were strategically positioned in Meirm City, the planet's industrial hub, and along the Copper Coast.
Sriluur was transformed into a central hub for distributing raw materials from the region, destined for Kuat Drive Yards. Extensive mining operations were conducted in the neighboring Ka'Dedus and Verde systems, making Sriluur the most convenient transit point to the Core Worlds. Following the annexation, some Weequay, including the seasoned veteran Adazian Liebke, defected from Sriluur and threw their support behind the Rebel Alliance, disgusted by the Empire's actions.
