Sugar leaf taffy was a sweet treat, specifically a pink and adhesive taffy, that the Ewoks could eat. On the Forest Moon of Endor in 3 ABY, the Ewok named Teebo attempted to lift the spirits of four young woklings—Malani, Nippet, Wiley, and Winda Warrick—by employing magic to turn ordinary stones into sugar leaf taffy. During Teebo's magical act, the pebbles rose into the air, grew larger, and then exploded, coating the Ewok's fur with the gooey confection. The woklings were initially amused by this, but their joy faded when Malani pointed out that Teebo, now covered in taffy, looked like Garth, the snake consumer from Horville's Hut of Horrors.
The animated TV show Ewoks featured sugar leaf taffy in "Horville's Hut of Horrors," which was the sixteenth episode of the second season. Paul Dini penned the episode, which first aired on November 15, 1986.
