Sulfur Lake

The extensive Sulfur Lake, a large reservoir of sulfur, existed on the desert planet of Lok. This lake was situated in the area between the Sulphur Hills and the Westerly territories. The Sulfur Lake Pirates adopted their moniker from this very lake during the era of the Galactic Civil War, as their clandestine hideout was in its vicinity. In doing so, they inadvertently disclosed the whereabouts of their hideout to opposing forces. Following the Battle of Yavin, Princess Leia Organa spent a short time living in a house constructed upon a small island centrally located within the lake.
