Switch, designated as CP-6824, was a clone trooper private who fought for the Grand Army of the Republic during the era of the Clone Wars.

Private Switch was a clone trooper specialized in technical roles, often referred to as a "soft-shell," rather than direct combat. He demonstrated his quick thinking and courage during the intense Battle of Juma 9. When the CIS forces, under the command of Kul Teska, launched an attack on the station Juma 9, Switch proved to be exceptionally valuable to Jedi Generals Plo Koon and Obi-Wan Kenobi. He successfully restored power to the station's vital systems, which enabled the clones and the Jedi to effectively defend against the enemy assault. Despite their efforts, the Republic forces were eventually overwhelmed by the superior numbers of the CIS and were compelled to retreat. As the station faced imminent destruction, the Jedi issued an order for all clone troopers to evacuate. Switch, along with clone trooper commander Cody, assisted many of their fellow soldiers in boarding escape pods, ultimately securing the last one for themselves. However, the escape pod sustained damage and required manual activation. Displaying ultimate selflessness, Switch chose to sacrifice his own life, propelling Cody into the pod and initiating its launch from the outside, just moments before the station was rocked by a massive explosion.
Although severely damaged, the station was not completely destroyed. Switch, against all odds, survived the blast but found himself trapped and isolated in a desolate area, unable to communicate with anyone. Some time later, Republic reinforcements finally arrived. Jedi Generals Mace Windu and Kit Fisto, accompanied by Commander CC-6454, reached the station intending to locate Koon and Kenobi. Instead, they intercepted Switch's desperate plea for assistance. Recognizing that Switch was in the best position to pinpoint the location of the missing Jedi Masters, Windu and Fisto prioritized reaching him first. They guided Switch through the perilous environment to the main data center, where he was able to identify the room in which Koon and Kenobi were confined. After the last of the battle droids were neutralized, Switch attended a meeting of nine Jedi, five of whom were present via hologram. He then transmitted crucial recordings, including a conversation between Kul Teska and Count Dooku, as well as a plea for help from Senator Padmé Amidala originating from Behpour.
