Syngia Station, a relatively small spaceport, was located in the Outer Rim Territories' Sertar sector. This station is where Penn Zarang, who would later become an Imperial cadet attending the Arkanis Academy, spent his childhood. In the opening years of the Galactic Empire's reign, a group of Zygerrian enslavers landed their ship at this spaceport to perform some maintenance; they then proceeded to enslaving the people living there and killing those who resisted. Zarang managed to stay alive by concealing himself within a maintenance tunnel, but his father was not so lucky and was killed. His mother, however, passed away while she was being transported to Zygerria. This tragic event motivated Zarang to sign up for an Imperial Academy.
