Tahnchukka, also known as Tank, was a one-eyed male Wookiee smuggler who partnered with bounty hunter Crovan Dane. In the year 22 BBY, he and Dane assisted Bitt Panith, a Muun cyberneticist, by capturing a variety of animals from the Shadowlands of Kashyyyk, a planet located in the Mid Rim. The scientist intended to use these animals to create Krossen, a cyborg designed to be resistant to the Force.
However, their mission faced disruption from Jaylen Kos, a Zabrak youngling, and the Padawan of Bant Eerin, a Mon Calamari Jedi Master. The pair spoke with Zaboshka, a Toydarian mechanic, who professed to know where Dane could be found. For a sum of credits, the mechanic guided the two Jedi to a cantina that housed Goomi, a changeling.

Nevertheless, they were unable to deliver the creatures due to the interference of Jaylen Kos, a Jedi youngling and Bant Eerin's Padawan, who was the Jedi Master's apprentice, and Sunchoo, a female Wookiee. Sunchoo created a diversion for the two criminals, while the two Jedi freed the creatures held captive in cages aboard Dane's starship. One of the creatures, a terentatek, killed Dane and pursued Tahnchukka into the surrounding forest.
