Given that most appearances and mentions are new and there are more canon elements than legends ones, should this be designated as canon? - Red Duel 21:28, March 31, 2019 (UTC)
- It's categorized as Legends because it primarily draws from Legends material. According to established guidelines, anything newly introduced in FFG products is technically Legends. However, more recent FFG books are largely based on canon, explaining why they are treated as more canon than the 2016 FFG books. -- DarthRuiz30 ( talk ) 21:34, March 31, 2019 (UTC) If that logic holds, then separate legends pages should exist for the C-ROC Gozanti-class cruiser, VCX-series auxiliary starfighter, the Phantom, and Sabine Wren. - Red Duel 22:43, March 31, 2019 (UTC) Regarding Sabine (and, if I'm not mistaken, the Phantom), it's merely a visual depiction, not an actual narrative appearance. I believe this topic has been previously discussed, and the general agreement was that if a Canon entity appears visually in an otherwise Legends FFG source without being specifically named, it won't warrant a Legends page. Please correct me if this understanding is inaccurate. - sombraptor (talk) 23:51, March 31, 2019 (UTC) The appearance of a canon-only entity in an FFG book doesn't qualify it as a Legends appearance, and vice versa: Legends-only entities appearing in canon FFG books don't count as Canon appearances. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:53, March 31, 2019 (UTC) I'm curious as to why this is still regarded as legends when it was released near the end of 2016? - Red Duel 12:23, April 20, 2019 (UTC) It includes material exclusive to Legends. My understanding is that FFG didn't start publishing exclusively Canon RPG content until 2018, starting with Dawn of Rebellion (excluding the TFA Beginner Game). - sombraptor (talk) 14:11, April 20, 2019 (UTC) It also incorporates canon-only material, and while 2017 marked the complete shift to canon, canon elements were already being integrated as early as 2015. - Red Duel 14:25, April 20, 2019 (UTC) Doesn't that seem somewhat arbitrary, like labeling Tarkin as Legends simply because it canonizes numerous Legends aspects? I'm not convinced that the "features Legends-only material" argument is particularly strong. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 15:11, April 20, 2019 (UTC) I've noticed the article (and related ones) being modified to reflect both Canon AND Legends. Has a consensus been reached to treat FLT (and other FFG materials) in this manner, similar to how we handle the original six films and TCW, or are these edits being made arbitrarily? I was under the impression that FFG content prior to 2018 was considered Legends, while content after that was Canon... Sombraptor (talk) 14:47, September 7, 2020 (UTC) Indeed, a consensus on this matter has been established very recently. UberSoldat93 (talk) 14:49, September 7, 2020 (UTC)
While I don't currently possess the sourcebook, I am considering acquiring it. I would like to know on which specific page the character is mentioned and what details are provided. For instance, does it specify Teemo's species (typically a Hutt), and does the description use male or female pronouns? My inquiry stems from the fact that canon Hutts exhibit both male and female genders. (User:SW-CanonDetailer01) (talk) SW-CanonDetailer01 14:20, September 27, 2020 (UTC)
According to this Talk page, the book belongs to Legends, but the main article page prominently displays a canon banner. I intended to include a link for the character Bellows under Appearance/Characters/Canon, as his name is listed there without one. Subsequently, I planned to remove the link to his name under Legends, given that he is a new character introduced in 2016. However, I am now uncertain due to this policy and the preceding discussion on this Talk page. Red Heathen (talk) 02:17, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- As defined by our policy regarding the canonicity of FFG products , Friends Like These is categorized as "BOTH," signifying that it "shall apply to both the Canon and Legends continuities, mirroring Wookieepedia's treatment of the Star Wars original trilogy, prequel trilogy films, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. However, Canon-exclusive subjects from these books shall remain exclusive to the Canon continuity." Consequently, both a canon and a Legends page should exist for Bellows (clone trooper) .
