The Open, also known as the Tandem Open, was a swoopdueling championship event that occurred on Jervo's World, which is located above Pantolomin. This championship was part of the swoopdueling circuit. Participants in the Open could select their own weapons and aerial vehicles, which commonly included swoops and speeder bikes, but could also be jetpacks or even flying beasts. The event consisted of four semifinal rounds, with the two highest-ranking competitors from each round moving on to the final competition.
On one occasion, Zayne Carrick and Demagol took part in this competition, with Demagol impersonating Rohlan Dyre. "Rohlan" was victorious and was awarded a Goethar Special.
