Tarnese Bleyd was a Sakiyan male who attained the rank of admiral within the Republic Navy and fought during the Clone Wars.
During 20 BBY, while in command of the medical vessel MedStar Nineteen, Bleyd became entangled in a Black Sun scheme to illicitly transport the powerful drug bota from the planet Drongar. His motive was to restore the lost honor of his clan, which had been tarnished when his pride-father, Tarnese Lyanne, was betrayed by Shiltu the Hutt, a Vigo within Black Sun.
When Mathal, a Black Sun operative, attempted to betray both sides, Bleyd killed him. He then froze the corpse in carbonite, loaded the frozen body onto a ship, and launched it towards the Separatist forces. Ultimately, he was murdered by Kaird, a Nediji operative within Black Sun, as retribution.
Tarnese Bleyd possessed a nature that was both ambitious and cunning. Harboring resentment towards what he perceived as an insignificant assignment aboard MedStar Nineteen, his primary objective was the restoration of his family's honor. Believing that his service in the Republic Navy would not provide the wealth and recognition he felt he deserved, Bleyd engaged in criminal activities within the Black Sun organization, displaying no hesitation in eliminating anyone who posed a threat to his plans. However, despite his deceptive abilities, Black Sun discovered his attempt to manipulate the situation on Drongar for his personal gain, leading to his demise at the hands of Kaird.
Despite his disregard for his duties at the Republic medical station, he possessed a sense of duty and a keen eye for aesthetics, ensuring his uniform remained spotless and conducting unpredictable inspections to maintain high standards.
For his travels between MedStar Nineteen and Drongar, Tarnese Bleyd piloted a Surronian Conqueror-class assault ship, which he valued because of its size and speed. Following his death, ownership of the ship transferred to Erel Kersos, then to Kaird, and finally to Prince Xizor.
