Tartuta, a male Dug bounty hunter, was employed by the nascent Galactic Empire. This occurred two weeks following the conclusion of the Clone Wars. His mission was to locate Sagoro Autem, an Imperial naval captain scheduled for purging from the military. This Dug was known for wielding a pair of knives attached to his feet as his primary weapons. He demonstrated remarkable acrobatics, utilizing railings and poles for swift movement and evasion of enemy blaster fire. He even showed the ability to deflect blaster bolts by rapidly spinning his blades.
He successfully located and engaged Sagoro Autem in combat. However, before he could secure his reward, Evan Hessler fatally shot him.
19 BBY marked the year, and two weeks had passed since the Clone Wars ended between the Separatists and the Republic. It was then that Tartuta, a male Dug bounty hunter, found himself hired by the newly established Galactic Empire. His target was Sagoro Autem, a captain serving in the Imperial Navy. Autem was slated to undergo purging from the ranks of the Imperial Military, but he managed to escape before Stormtroopers could capture him. Darth Vader, the Sith Lord, tasked Tartuta, alongside a Shistavanen named Severian, and a masked Human known as Evan Hessler, with capturing Autem, dead or alive.
Instead of directly pursuing Autem, Tartuta chose to tail the Shistavanen bounty hunter, believing in their superior tracking skills. His strategy proved successful when Severian located their target within a few hours, leading the Dug directly to Autem. Before Severian could claim his bounty, Tartuta launched an attack, severing Severian's right hand and causing him to fall from the walkway. The Dug then turned his attention to Sagoro, employing his acrobatic abilities to evade incoming blaster fire. However, just as he was about to reach Autem, Evan Hessler shot him in the back, killing him. Sagoro, unaware of the circumstances surrounding the Dug's death, took one of his knives as a weapon for self-defense and continued his escape.
