Reymet Autem, a male Human individual, was the offspring of Sagoro Autem. Known for his impulsive nature, he greatly enjoyed participating in dangerous swoop-bike races through the refuse-filled depths of Coruscant. Following in his father's footsteps, Reymet enrolled in the Guards' Academy due to his family's ties to the Senate Guard, though he found it displeasing.
While attending the Leadership School located on Andara, Reymet Autem encountered Anakin Skywalker and Ferus Olin, Jedi who were posing as "transfer students" in 25 BBY. A brilliant mind when it came to computers, technology, and security systems, and with a penchant for practical jokes, Reymet aided them in their investigation concerning Gillam Tarturi, the son of Senator Berm Tarturi. Gillam had allegedly been kidnapped, but in reality, he had orchestrated a fake murder attempt on his own father as an act of revenge.
In 26 BBY, Reymet secured employment at the Staff College on the planet Andara, where he crossed paths with Padawans Anakin Skywalker and Ferus Olin, who were present to conduct research. Reymet became highly skilled at manipulating the technical institutes' systems, which Ferus was evaluating.
During his time at the Guards' Academy, Reymet was a solitary figure without friends, a fact he shared with Anakin Skywalker. After Ferus Olin vanished, Reymet guided Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Siri Tachi to the ancient tunnels beneath the Academy, where they successfully rescued Ferus.
In 23 BBY, Reymet, who had been suspended from the Academy, unknowingly provided assistance to his uncle Venco in his attempted assassination of Simon Greyshade. Already planning to leave the planet with his girlfriend, Riao Siao, Reymet fled with the help of his father, who created a diversion to allow Reymet to escape arrest by the other Senate Guards.
Soon after, Reymet was joined by his mother Sula and sister Lissa, who had decided to leave Sagoro. In the ensuing years, Reymet became involved in smuggling and worked as an information broker, using the alias Evan Hessler among others.
In 22 BBY, he was taken into custody for the theft of a speeder belonging to Senator Simon Greyshade, after Anakin Skywalker had "borrowed" it.
Following the war and the establishment of the Galactic Empire, Reymet dedicated himself to locating his father. Sagoro's name had appeared on a list of potential dissidents, leading Darth Vader to personally oversee his capture. Operating under the identity of bounty hunter Evan Hessler, Reymet successfully "captured" his father, having outmaneuvered Tartuta and Severian. After revealing his true identity, Reymet and his father escaped Coruscant to reunite with the rest of their family who were waiting for them.
