Teebo, a tree spirit belonging to the Ewok species, is a figure from Ewok mythology who is said to have persuaded the mythical Ewok named Machook to spare the forests, according to their stories. Ewoks would eventually honor him by naming their children after him.
The character Teebo was referenced in the Galactic Campaign Guide, a 2003 sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game by Wizards of the Coast, authored by both Peter Schweighofer and J.D. Wiker.
