"Temple of Phantoms" is a tale presented as a comic and was crafted by Christopher Cooper. It appeared in the ninth edition of the Star Wars Comic UK publication, which was made available in August of 2014. The narrative follows a youthful Anakin Skywalker as he grapples with a dark-side entity within the walls of the Jedi Temple.
Around half a decade prior to the Battle of Geonosis, Anakin Skywalker finds himself within the Jedi Temple situated on Coruscant. It is here that he detects a peculiar, hissing voice, imperceptible to Tiplee, who is present with him.
Subsequently, during a training session led by Master Tera Sinube, Anakin experiences what seems to be strangulation at the hands of an unseen assailant. Later that evening, he is startled by the voice uttering "Skywalker." He then proceeds to the Jedi Council Chamber, where he encounters a dark-side entity that initiates a lightsaber battle with him, foretelling his eventual descent to the dark side. Abruptly, several Jedi Initiates materialize, pleading for Anakin's assistance, and the entity assaults him with Force lightning. In immense agony, Anakin's thoughts turn to Padmé Amidala, who, despite being on Naboo, inexplicably senses his distress, causing the entity and the younglings to vanish. As Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda arrive on the scene, Anakin begins to weaken, and the two Jedi Masters contemplate the few words he manages to speak. Yoda infers that the young Skywalker has undergone a potent vision through the Force, the meaning of which will become clear in time.
