Plot summary

In the aftermath of the Occupation of Bespin, intelligence gathered by Rebel spies revealed the presence of an Imperial convoy consisting of drone freighters transporting hyperdrive components. Commander [Luke Skywalker](/article/luke_skywalker-legends], along with Wedge Antilles, [Chewbacca](/article/chewbacca-legends], and Lando Calrissian, under the designation of Raptor Squad, embarked on a mission using an assault ship to intercept the convoy. Antilles skillfully brought them out of lightspeed directly above one of the freighters, allowing them to board undetected by the escort ships.

Once inside the freighter, the group separated to complete their objectives. However, the Imperials detected their ship's presence near Drone vessel 171, realizing their trap had been sprung. The captain then instructed his crew to transmit the command signal.

The Imperial forces concealed within the freighter emerged from their cargo containers, preparing to capture the Rebels. Meanwhile, Calrissian encountered difficulties with the junction terminal, prompting Chewbacca to suggest accessing it from the deck above.

Upon reaching the upper deck, Calrissian discovered the stormtroopers and alerted the rest of the squad. The troopers ordered Skywalker to stop, causing him to hesitate briefly.

On the other deck, Calrissian incapacitated Traneel and took his uniform. He then ordered two stormtroopers to proceed to the docking bay. Despite their protests, citing orders from the officer, Calrissian threatened them into compliance.

Skywalker then used The Force to create a distraction, allowing him to defeat the troopers in hand-to-hand combat.

Afterward, he reunited with Calrissian, who informed him that he had locked up the remaining troopers. Skywalker then employed a mind trick on them, convincing them that the ship was empty and in danger, leading them to abandon ship in the escape pods. The Imperial Commander, enraged, ordered the frigate's weapons to be prepared.

As the frigate closed in, Chewbacca completed the sabotage, granting them manual control of the freighter. They then jumped to lightspeed just as the Imperial Commander ordered a torpedo attack.
