Terror Droids, resembling small spider-like droids, were engineered during the Galactic Empire's era. Darth Vader oversaw their creation on the planet Kamino.
After a clone of Galen Marek made an escape, Vader tasked the bounty hunter Boba Fett with locating Juno Eclipse, the love of the clone's progenitor's. Fett, utilizing Imperial resources, attacked the Rebel starship called the Salvation. He unleashed a significant number of Terror Droids to combat the Rebel troopers aboard. Starkiller later encountered these droids when he arrived to rescue Eclipse from the Imperial assault. It was subsequently discovered that these spider-like droids originated from the Terror Walker, their larger counterpart.
The initial design of these Terror Droids incorporated various colors depending on their specific function. The standard "yellow" droids are the ones encountered in combat. However, in a concealed section of the ship containing a hidden Holocron, one can observe swarms of "red" explosive Terror Droids. These droids appear only once and detonate when an intruder gets too close. In the Nintendo Wii version, "green" Terror Droids will pounce on Starkiller and latch onto him, while "orange" ones will leap at him and explode, causing him to fall.
