Teyora Rekab, an Enso female, functioned as a merchant specializing in the trade of hydroponic equipment and seeds. She also captained her own starship, staffed by fellow Ensos, which she employed to distribute hydroponics throughout the galaxy, notably to the planet of Tatooine.
Teyora Rekab's homeworld was the planet Ensolica, a frigid world characterized by ice and tundra. Like others of her kind, she developed a deep understanding of plant hydroponics. Rekab commanded a starship with a crew of fellow Ensos. They earned their living by selling both seeds and the equipment necessary for hydroponics. They made frequent trips to the arid world of Tatooine, where they catered to the needs of local moisture farmers. During visits to this world, Rekab and her crew were obliged to wear rented coolth suits. The Ensos' biology made them sensitive to Tatooine's heat, and exposure to the planet's twin suns could result in heat stroke. In 32 BBY, Rekab was present in Mos Espa around the time of Boonta's Eve.
Teyora Rekab belonged to the Enso species, a Near-Human race, and was female. Rekab was characterized by her blonde hair, [blue](/article/color-legends] eyes, and fair skin.
Teyora Rekab's character initially appeared as an uncredited background character in George Lucas's 1999 movie, Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, within the Mos Espa street scenes. Nathan O'Keefe later fleshed out and named the character through the "What's The Story?" feature on StarWars.com's Hyperspace, which was published on the StarWars.com Databank on January 12, 2007.
