According to the Kaminoan legend "The Tale of the Aiwha Pod," Thalina was an underwater ridge located on the planet Kamino. The legend recounts that Thalina served as the battleground where the god-beast Protas and the sentient titan Melkorr fought. Melkorr had issued a challenge to Protas for dominion over Kamino's oceans, and upon acceptance, the two engaged in combat. Protas leveraged his superior agility to exhaust his adversary, and the struggle persisted for six days and six nights, culminating in Protas slaying the challenger.
Thalina was featured in the Legends short story "The Tale of the Aiwha Pod," released in 2005. This story was authored by Ryan Kaufman and included in the Star Wars: Republic Commando: Prima Official Game Guide.
