Thark, an Aqualish of the male gender, functioned as an Imperial informant during the period of the Galactic Civil War. His life was ended by a spacer who was tricked by Mos Taike resident Bren Kingal into the false belief that Thark was a criminal.
Within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, Thark was featured as a non-player character. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts. The game was shut down on December 15, 2011. In Star Wars Galaxies, due to the way many older quests were designed, Thark's appearance would change each time a player undertook the quest. His character template meant he could appear as either a green-skinned Aqualish male with brown hair, or as a green-skinned Aqualish female with brown hair. The dialogue provided by Bren Kingal in the quest establishes Thark as a male character. Furthermore, although not stated in the quest's dialogue, examining his character revealed him to be a scout. However, this was largely a result of the game's mechanics, because Thark's appearance was determined by the randomized Aqualish scout spawn template.
