During the Great Galactic War, a notorious slicer gang known as The Circle emerged, comprised exclusively of Nikto. This closely-knit group of tech-focused Nikto was under the command of the frenzied and exceptionally intelligent Bolan. Their hacking into the Republic Strategic Information Service's confidential files resulted in their imprisonment within the Republic's clandestine facility on Belsavis.
Unlike other Nikto who believed physical strength was the route to power, the Circle considered technology to be the singular force in the galaxy that could rival the Force. They believed technology had the potential to reshape lives, societies, and cultures, and to dictate the results of conflicts. Following their escape from the Belsavis prison, the members of the Circle relentlessly used their inventiveness in attempts to take control of Belsavis's security infrastructure and the peculiar technologies concealed within the prison's depths.
