The Jedi Academy Sourcebook is a guide for roleplaying, crafted by West End Games for their Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. Paul Sudlow authored it, and it saw its initial release in 1996.

This book provides summaries and extensive details regarding the happenings within Kevin J. Anderson's novel series, the Jedi Academy Trilogy. It also offers descriptions of the characters, aliens, creatures, vehicles, robots, planets, and starships featured in those novels.

Opening Crawl

The New Republic is experiencing a time of relative tranquility, rebuilding after the Empire's failed attempt at galactic domination. Following the defeat of the resurrected Emperor, Palpatine's control over numerous worlds has diminished. While Leia Organa Solo endeavors to recruit new worlds into the New Republic, Luke Skywalker initiates his search for potential Jedi students and a suitable location for their training.

Yet, the Empire remains active. A new commander arises from the clandestine Maw Installation, an Imperial complex specifically designed for the development of advanced weaponry.
