A certain individual was compelled by Z0-0M to mimic the Shroud, thereby becoming the 51st and last person to embody the character after the genuine Shroud's demise.
The Shroud, a renowned independent spy, opted to remain neutral during the Galactic War, choosing instead to establish his own spy syndicate. Regrettably, the Shroud was ultimately betrayed and met his end at the hands of Z0-0M, a replicator droid within his organization, who then assumed his identity and control over his network. Despite her ability to mimic anyone through holographic disguise, Z0-0M never endangered herself, preferring to utilize actors as disposable substitutes. The final individual to assume this role was the fifty-first to do so, having undergone extensive and painful facial reconstruction to replicate the original Shroud's appearance, which resulted in the loss of sensation in his face. He was compelled to maintain this facade continuously, even within Z0-0M's base at the Coil, where he received vocal and dramatic training to flawlessly portray the character. His Cyborg Construct was equipped with an explosive device that his controller could activate at any given moment.

In 3630 BBY, Z0-0M put in motion her scheme to annihilate the Alliance that was currently engaged in conflict with the Eternal Empire of Zakuul. The impersonator successfully infiltrated the Alliance base located on Odessen, strategically placing several thermal detonators in vital areas. Concurrently, HK-55, an Alliance assassin droid, was apprehended and brought to the Coil, where Z0-0M created a duplicate of him and prepared to erase the original's memories. However, an unforeseen incident caused an electrical surge that instead wiped Z0-0M's own memories, leading the ruthless spymaster to develop a new persona and experience recurring memory resets. Z0-0M then released HK-55 and accompanied him back to the Alliance base just as the impersonator was completing his acts of sabotage. Mistaking the man for the authentic Shroud, HK-55 confronted him at gunpoint, prompting the actor to break down and identify his master as the true instigator. Despite the absence of concrete evidence, he revealed all the measures Z0-0M had taken to prepare him as a decoy, which allowed her new personality to recognize the truth. Subsequently, HK-55 incapacitated the impersonator for conspiring with the real Shroud to destroy the Alliance base, with the intention of handing him over to his master for interrogation.
