The term "The Uprisings" denoted a number of isolated guerrilla conflicts that occurred on the planet Ord Cestus. These campaigns, launched by the terrorist organization known as the Desert Wind against the Cestus Cybernetics corporation, commenced circa 121 BBY with a devastating plague that significantly reduced the X'Ting species. By 26 BBY the conflicts involved a mining labor action, which Cestus Cybernetics quashed through the use of lethal droids. While the uprisings were ultimately put down in 22 BBY, the Desert Wind was reorganized the following year with assistance from both the Jedi Order and the Grand Army of the Republic.
