The Theed Royal Academy, also known as the Royal Academy, served as a prestigious educational center situated in Theed, which is the capital city of the Naboo civilization on the planet Naboo. Exceptionally talented children received instruction there to prepare them for careers as civil servants, including promising young leaders who were carefully prepared for their future responsibilities. Notably, future queen Padmé Amidala underwent leadership training by government tutors while she was a student at this very academy.
The academy's building featured a rectangular design, characterized by tan-colored walls and a flat, turquoise-colored roof topped with a small central dome, aligning with the overarching architectural aesthetics prevalent throughout the city. A library was also a part of the academy's facilities, though its collection was not as extensive as that housed within the Theed Royal Palace.

Within established Star Wars canon, the Royal Academy was initially referenced in an article titled "Theed: Naboo's Capital City," featured in the "Guide to the Galaxy" segment of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine, specifically in its twenty fourth issue, which became available around June 17, 2015. Subsequently, a visual representation of the academy appeared in the 2016 reference publication Star Wars: Complete Locations, utilizing content that had been previously published in the 2000 reference book titled Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I. This earlier book, authored by Kristin Lund and illustrated by Richard Chasemore and Hans Jenssen, marked the academy's initial mention within the Star Wars Legends continuity. The complete designation, Theed Royal Academy, was formally introduced in "Naboo," a component of Altaya's's Star Wars Encyclopedias series, released on October 16, 2020.
